About Me

Hi! my name is Christian Aditya.

I am a PhD candidate at the school of media and communication, RMIT University. My PhD is a creative practice research that explores Chinese Indonesian identity through non-fiction animation works. Through a combination of personal reflection and collective narratives, my work engages with themes of cultural inheritance, memory, and identity, aiming to reimagine how underrepresented histories can be expressed through animated forms.

Before my PhD, I was a full-time lecturer in the field of animation, where I was actively involved in both teaching and research. My academic focus included visual development and art fundamentals, and I taught a wide range of subjects such as 2D and 3D animation production, visual development, and foundational art and design principles.

Alongside my academic career, I have worked as a freelance CG artist on various projects, including animated commercials, visualisation work, and 3D assets development. I have also provided freelance training and private tutoring in animation and design. I continue to accept training and tutoring opportunities, feel free to get in touch if you're interested.
